Vee and Pete chose to have 2 days of celebrations. The weekend started with a traditional and timeless church ceremony at the Carmel Mission . The iconic California mission architecture is absolutely beautiful. So much history and such an experience for guests. One of the things I also love about this venue is the location. It is incredibly close to the picturesque coastline Carmel-by-the-sea & Monterey are known for. Within a few minutes you are right by the water. After the ceremony, V & P had a get away classic red Porsche Boxster for photos and it was absolutely a favorite moment with them. Still on cloud 9 from getting married, we got to enjoy this time with them. 100% worth the extra planning.
Carmel is one of my favorite places in the entire California coast. It has such a charming quality. Plus, love that it is close to Big Sur, Monterey, and Santa Cruz. Vee and Pete’s next event is spent at the wonderful Pebble Beach Resort. Stay tuned.
Also, thrilled to say that their wedding was featured on Over the Moon.

Vee and Pete rented a vintage Porsche. We took photos along the coast. There are more of these moments after the ceremony.

Vee and Pete wanted to have a day for the ceremony and welcome party, then a day for the wedding. It was an honor to their families and their Italian catholic heritage. The mission is stunning.
Photo note: the basilica does not have side aisles, so the photographer can walk around the exit doors and there is a side corridor that is great for closer up photos at the alter.

I love the arched ceiling and the way the light has the couple glow at the front of the church. The sound is also very clear especially with the live organist playing.

Vee wore a vintage Carolina

After the ceremony we took photos around the Mission. It was perfect because Vee and Pete were on cloud 9 from just getting married. The joy was amazing to document and also the calmness they both exuded. This is just the beginning type of feeling.

One of my favorite location is at the side of the basilica and the bougainvillea is blooming with the historic clay walls. I adore mixing the architectural elements with fine art photography. Also, it gives a clean back drop to really let the couples emotions shine.

I adored this time with Vee and Pete. They are vibrant and so in love. We had a fun time exploring. They are from Texas and this was really incredible location for them. If you’d like to see more from their wedding you can view that here.
