When you drive out to the Madrona Hotel in Healdsburg, ca you are greeted with the picturesque vineyards, farms, and stunning views of the golden hills. It is iconic vineyard love in hotel form. The photo above is one of the first sights as you walk up the driveway to the lobby. You can drive all the way up as well to check in. I was a vendor and wanted to scout and see all the hidden gems around this property. I’ve read this is a historic 1800’s Victorian that has been renovated with colorful, thoughtful, and whimsy decor.
E & J adore Healdsburg downtown. The wine and food scene are incredible. Farm to table, rotating menu’s, and unique small business’s that will have you swooning. The Madrona Hotel is close and offers a secluded vineyard experience for guests at a Michelin star venue. Everything about this space is charming. You feel instantly at ease and ready to celebrate and relax while sipping custom cocktails. Highly recommend planning an intimate or large celebration up to 150 guests here. E & J had about 40 guests for their rehearsal dinner.
The venue also offers accommodations that will leave your guests dreamy of the day they can return.
Let me show you some beautiful locations and share more about their celebration.

One of my favorite photo locations is the lobby. It offers hidden nooks with a whimsically elevated design. The gallery wall and patterned sofa blend editorial and candid moments beautifully. The interior can be a little dark, so adding fill light on an overcast day can help make the color pop, especially if shooting film.
The next image shows, just steps away a vineyard. The vineyard follows the hillside down, there is a pathway and some steps for easy access. The light shines beautifully through the trees.

At the back of the property behind the restaurant, there is a big grassy area surrounding by vineyards. You can see the cottages within, plus meandering pathways. I loved how E’s modern halter gown stood out in this space. Also, she just radiated happiness.

Another location that is architectural and iconic at the Madrona are the steps leading up to the lobby. This is the perfect location for framing within the moments and you can create a variety of candid and directed moments all in the space. I loved the back of her dress and this sweet moment of them holding hands as heading to cocktail hour.

I am smitten with the design of this property. For weddings you can enchant your guests by choosing fresh colors that compliment the hotels decor, so all feels seamless, yet elevated.
The pattern play is perfection. From the striped banquette seating with floral tile and palm branch seating. I mean, so much inspiration can be gleaned to bring your own personality to this space.

This is the gallery wall of the lobby. It is a space guests have access to throughout their stay. It’s also a wonderful location if weather doesn’t cooperate for portraits, wedding party moments etc. Just being in here makes people smile.

E & J had their dinner outside on the larger patio next to the restaurant. A bar was placed nearby with cute design details and impeccable service while apps were passed. Everyone enjoyed the perfectly warm weather having flown in from many parts of the United States. Such a great escape and experience to bring to your favorite people.

Everything about this celebration was genuine and thoughtful.
